Owner: The owner or author of a data set. Required, repeatable, user-generated.

Contact: The primary point of contact (for the public, and for DataStaR) regarding a data set. If unspecified, it's the owner. Repeatable, user-generated.

Title: DC definition: A name given to the resource. Required, user-generated.

Identifier: DC definition: An unambiguous reference to the resource within a given context. Required, system-generated.

Relationship to research group: DataStaR research group to which item is related, if any. Repeatable, user-generated.

Relation: DC definition: A related resource. Repeatable, user-generated.

Citing publication: A publication that cites the item being described, whether already published or forthcoming. Repeatable, user-generated.

Access permissions: metadata Individuals or groups who may view item's metadata. Required, repeatable, user-generated (default is title is public).

Access permissions: data Individuals or groups who may download an item. Required, repeatable, user-generated (default is owners and contacts only).

Destination repository: Repository in which item will ultimately be deposited, if known. Required, repeatable, user-generated.

Target date for publication (or withdrawl) Expected date of publication to external repository. Or, in the case of files that are shared but not published, withdrawl. Required, user-generated (unless unspecified), system-generated (if unspecified default is 1 year from creation).

Abstract: A summary or description of the content of the data set. User-generated.

Coverage - temporal: DC definition: The temporal topic of the resource. Repeatable, user-generated.

Coverage - geographic: DC definition: The spatial topic of the resource, the spatial applicability of the resource, or the jurisdiction under which the resource is relevant. Repeatable, user-generated.

Rights: DC definition: Information about rights held in and over the resource. User-generated.

Subject: DC definition: The topic of the resource. Repeatable, user-generate.

Metadata collected at the individual file level

Uploader: The person who uploads a file (based on log-in). Required, system-generated.

File name: Name of the file. Required, system-generated

File format: File format. Required, system-generated

File size: File size. Required, system-generated

Date-time of upload: Date and time of file upload. Required, system-generated

Identifier: Fedora identifier. Required, system-generated

Checksum: Stored checksum - run at upload and subsequently/routinely (to monitor integrity of content). Required, system-generated, repeatable

Checksum date-time: Date-time of stored checksum. Required, system-generated, repeatable
